The IT industry offers quite a few exciting and lucrative job opportunities. However, getting into coding or any other tech job often proves more difficult than people anticipate. This is especially true if you’re starting from scratch, without any connections in this vast world.
If you’re looking to start a career focused on computer technologies, expand your skill set, or simply learn a thing or two about coding and hacking, Code Co-op is the perfect event to attend.
In essence, Code Co-op is a coding workshop with the focus on helping both beginners and veterans, young and old, establish connections, learn, converse, and expose themselves to new opportunities through collaboration.
The workshop isn’t designed to be a class, however. Rather, the main goal is to start the conversation that will help everyone interested in this area enter the IT world a bit more easily. You will have an opportunity to connect with industry veterans directly, discover how you can fast-track the learning process, arrange programming lessons, exchange ideas, discuss your personal projects, and more.
The meetup starts at 6 p.m. tonight (May 28th), at the Innovation Depot Inc, 1500 1st Avenue North. No RSVP is required. Simply show up with your laptop or notebook & pen, and the desire to learn!
This is just one of many free events CoWorking Night Alabama organizes on a regular basis. In fact, there are anywhere from 6 to 10 workshops you can attend every week. The workshops cover a wide range of topics, including Marketing, IT, Design, Photography, Startups, Writing, and more.
